Extensions

This project incorporated a small side extension under permitted development rights, which on its own seemed pointless, but when we installed a large steel beam allowing us to knock through the main wall into the existing house, it really opened the whole downstairs into a beautiful open planned living space. We installed bi-folding doors which allows light to flood in and gives the homeowner full access to their newly landscaped split-level garden. This project was a complete inhouse design & build project from start to finish.

New Build Garages

We were asked to quote and complete an extension that had been poorly started by a previous builder. We were awarded the contract and began immediately. The customer was adamant they wanted a vaulted ceiling which resulted in us employing a structural engineer to provide a structural roof design from which we built the roof, installing steel plates to strengthen the structure. We then installed bi-fold doors and finished the internal walls at which point the block paving was installed to run through seamlessly from the rest of the drive with a flush threshold over the bi-fold door.

New Build Housing

This project was an in-house build for our development side of the business, We de-commissioned an old scrapyard to make way for 4x 3-bed semi-detached homes, All 4 homes were finished beautifully and were all snaped up and sold.

Extensions & Structural Works

The owners of this house had asked us to help re-design an already designed extension that wasn’t financially viable for them. We came up with a simpler design that incorporated a new completely open planned kitchen with the use of steel beams which supports the upstairs bathroom allowing us to install flat roof lights to maximise the amount of light in this previously dark area of the home. We cladded the extension in cedar and installed a bi-fold door to increase light into the room then fitted the high-end kitchen with solid oak worktops. The customers now enjoy an uninterrupted view down their garden.

Commercial Washroom Installations

Coates Building Services can not only deliver for domestic clients but commercial ones too, this office bathroom fit out was completed on a 4-storey office block in the middle of Swindon and incorporates a full refurbishment on both male & female toilets on each floor.

Garden Building Installations

We had been commissioned by our client to design, cost & construct this garden family room which would include a home office, family room and external room for a hot tub. The job included removing over 32 Tons of soil to level off the garden before works could begin, constructing a reinforced concrete slab then building of the complete structure. Halfway through the job we were asked to install a pergola to the right-hand side which featured grey PVC cladding to the underside to run through seamlessly with the soffit board.

Watermain & Lead Watermain Replacement

As members of the watermark scheme, we are able to instal and self-certify new and replacement watermains along with lead replacements as part of Severn Trent’s lead replacement scheme. We have installed over 1000m of watermain over the past 2 years!

Rear Extension & Kitchen

This contract comprised of knocking an existing extension to make way for a larger one in its place, the new extension featured underfloor heating, flat roof with skylights and a bi-fold door. We knocked through the existing kitchen window to make way through to the new utility & downstairs bathroom and blocked up the existing entrance, once complete a fully fitted integrated high-end kitchen was fitted.
